Paraguay Economics

Strengths
Electricity exporter – earnings cover oil imports. Self-sufficiency in wheat and other staple foodstuffs. Cotton (up to 50% of exports). Oilseeds, notably soya. 

Weaknesses
Very high reliance on agriculture –  30% of GDP, 90% of exports, 45% of labor force. Has virtually no minerals. Landlocked and remote. Slow growth. Dependent on growth in neighboring countries.
